How Resume Builder works.

What it does

You can build a new resume from guided details or upload an existing PDF/DOCX resume for a cleaner rebuild. The tool separates contact details from professional content, improves structure and wording and produces a downloadable Word document you can open and edit.

What you fill in

• Personal information: name, email, phone and optional address, LinkedIn and portfolio
• Profile details: a free-text description of your qualifications, skills and certifications
• Work experience and projects: your previous roles, responsibilities and achievements
• Target role: optional. If provided, the resume summary is shaped toward that role
• Profile photo: optional JPG or PNG, max 1 MB. If uploaded, it appears in the resume header

What it produces

The output is an editable .docx Word document with clean, consistent formatting. The resume includes:

• Header with name and contact info (with photo if provided)
• Professional summary
• Skills grouped by category
• Work experience with bullet points
• Projects (if mentioned)
• Education (if mentioned)
• Certifications (if mentioned)

Sections with no content are not shown. The layout adjusts automatically based on what you provide.

Resume styles

You can choose from five style options for both resume workflows. All styles produce clean, professional, editable formatting designed for modern hiring workflows.

• Single Page Resume

Truthfulness rule

The tool will not invent employers, job titles, dates, degrees, certifications or skills. It works only with the information you provide. It improves wording, structure and clarity but it does not fabricate anything.

Always review the resume before sending it to an employer.

Photo behaviour

If you upload a photo in Build New Resume, it is placed in the resume header. If an uploaded existing resume contains a profile photo, Resume Builder preserves it when extraction is practical. If no photo is available, the header uses a clean full-width layout.

The photo is used for document generation and not stored long-term.

Controls

• Profile details: max 6,000 characters
• Work experience: max 8,000 characters
• Photo: max 1 MB, JPG or PNG only
• Improve Existing Resume: PDF or DOCX only, max 2 MB
• Protected actions use credits. Cost is shown before execution.
• Output is a Word document (.docx). PDF is not available yet.
• Results are structured automatically based on your inputs. Please review before use.
